Blue on St. Patrick's Day? March 13 2014

At Gem, we love our blue and it seems the Irish do, too. The Order of St. Patrick (the patron saint of Ireland) has a blue ribbon, not green as many of us might expect. Historically, St. Patrick's Day was celebrated with the wearing of the colour blue, but has evolved into the wearing of green, now the national colour of Ireland.

Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day with limited edition chocolates: "Elixir of Life" (dark ganache infusion with Ballantine's whiskey) and "Luck of the Irish" (milk ganache infusion with Irish cream and coffee)!
