Glenn Is Retiring
After starting Gem Chocolates from scratch and building it into a well-known, award-winning chocolate shop, Glenn has decided to step back and retire after 13 years of leading Gem Chocolates. The business has been sold to two of our customers (yes!) who will continue to operate it as-is. All the recipes and designs are being passed onto Mimi and Nathan as they take the reins of Gem Chocolates. Glenn will be still be involved on a scaled down basis over the next 6-9 months to help with a smooth transition for Mimi and Nathan, so you will still be able...

Retiring, Yes...But Not Until The End Of 2024

Kerrisdale Fire, October 1st
Last night there was a fire around 10pm on West 41st Avenue on the south side of the street. Sadly five businesses were lost, some residents displaced and neighbouring businesses without power and potentially with smoke damage. Our side of the block was not directly affected. We reminds us the large blaze in 2017 when seven businesses were lost.
